Layoffs have been sweeping the nation in 2022. Paired with unparalleled inflation costs, being able to live seems nearly impossible.

❥ 50% of firms anticipate a reduction in overall headcount in the next six to 12 months.
❥ Twilio, Carvana, Best Buy, Ford Motor, HBO Max, Peloton, Shopify, Re/Max, and Wayfair are among the firms that initiated large-scale layoffs.

And the ‼️Worst Part‼️ is that the companies didn't give their staff any warning. Whatever happened to being human instead of looking at one of your employees as just another number? They chose to work for you, be loyal to you, and be faithful to you, expecting that they'll receive the same in return. They signed the dotted line, while you signed their final check without a goodbye.

This is my favorite quote because it resembles what Em and a Pen represents. My philosophy is that there should never be a barrier to how creative you can be. I say, BREAK YOUR WALLS DOWN! Dive deep into your most uncomfortable place and see what you find.

I never thought I would become a writer. In fact, that was last on my list. Where I saw myself was in front of the microphone in choir, singing Eric Whitacre or the latest broadway soundtrack. I let my voice fly out of my mouth rather than on paper. But this showed me that nothing is ever set in stone. One minute you could be working as a 4th grade teacher, and the next year you could be the principal.

I know I might come off as someone who loves to reach for the stars, but I believe that anything is possible. Don't ever let timing or life get in the way of lies ahead of you.
